Striving to increase the academic achievement of Bagdad Middle School students, the Middle School teachers developed Middle School rules and rewards. These rules were designed to not only increase the student’s academic performance, but also to foster the six pillars of character: RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, TRUSTWORTHINESS, FAIRNESS, CARING, and CITIZENSHIP. These are the rules that will be enforced from the first day of school until the last day of school.
Rules:
Again these rules were not set in place as a punishment. They are designed to increase the academic achievement of our students. With the educational requirements placed on our students by the state the Middle School staff feels it is necessary to set these steps in place to improve the achievement of our students. The Middle School staff also believes in rewarding hard work. Here is a list of just some of the rewards your child may earn.
Rewards:
Please sign and have your student return this form to their teacher by August 13, 2018. By signing this letter you and your child understand what is expected of them for the coming year. If you as a parent/guardian feel these rules are too extreme we encourage you to make an appointment to speak with the staff and we will gladly go into more detail on why these rules were implemented. Thank you for support on this matter.
Sincerely,
The Middle School Teaching staff
Anna Grabe, John DePanfilis, Veronica Webb, Leah Woodburn, Pradip Misra, Vince Myers, Bill Stamey, Shaun Rose, Tom Rose, Dalton Mills, Sarah Temperley, Mary Ellen Kirkedahl.
